Service

Erosion Control Blankets

Rolled blankets stapled over seeded slopes to hold soil and seed until roots take.

On steep slopes and drainage channels, seed alone washes out. Erosion control blankets armor the surface, hold moisture and keep seed in place through heavy rain until the root system can do the job on its own.

How we do it

  1. 1

    Prep and seed

Smooth grade, then seed and fertilize before the blanket goes down.

  2. 2

    Anchor trench

The top of the run is keyed into a trench so water cannot get underneath.

  3. 3

    Roll and staple

Blankets are rolled downslope, overlapped and stapled on pattern for full soil contact.

  4. 4

    Check back

We inspect after the first rains and repair any lifted edges.

Frequently asked

Do the blankets have to be removed?
No. We use biodegradable straw and coconut blankets that break down as the grass establishes.
Can blankets go over hydroseed?
Yes — hydroseed plus blanket is our standard package for steep or high-flow areas.
